Seeking Divine Approbation

Wade E Taylor

“But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you openly.”  Matthew 6:6

The word “closet” is translated from a Greek word meaning a “storage chamber.”  Most translations use the word “room.”  This weakens the intent of the Lord, as anyone can easily find and enter a “room” in which to pray, but for us to enter a “closet” is quite a different matter.

We are living in the time of the Laodicean Church, which we are told is “rich and increased with goods” (Revelation 3:17).  Thus, our “closets” are full.  As our closets, so also, our lives are filled with demanding activities. Therefore, most of us are too busy to spend much time in prayer.

The Personalized Word

Wade E Taylor

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us….  John 1:14

The eternal, creative Word became the greatest revelation that God could ever give to man.  His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin and dwelt among us in condescension as “Jesus of Nazareth,” which at that time was considered to be a place of reproach.

As Jesus walked the dusty roads of His day, the world saw a visible demonstration of the truth and power of the eternal Word.

Taste and See

Wade E. Taylor

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.” Psalm 34:8

“Taste and see” speaks of our having an active relationship with our Lord, in which we relate to that which He is presently doing.  The Lord is about to demonstrate a powerful manifestation of His glory and presence throughout the earth through those who have been prepared for this event.

A Prophetic Vision for Our Day

Wade E Taylor

“My beloved spoke, and said to me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.  For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of  the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.  Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.”  Song of Solomon 2:10-13

This passage of Scripture expresses in beautiful spiritual imagery, a prophetic vision of the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit during the latter days.  It speaks of a special time of “divine intervention” during which the Lord will reveal Himself and His glory, through a prepared corporate witness, as foreseen by Isaiah.

OUR RESTING IN CONFIDENCE

June Taylor

The enemy is making a lot of “noise” these days, doing all he can to cause fear and panic on the earth and to thwart God’s Kingdom. And yes, around the world people’s foundations are being challenged and shaken. BUT – In spite of the adversary’s best schemes, the KING OF KINGS LORD OF LORDS OUR GOD reigns!

As believers, we know that our God is on the throne, and His Kingdom rules over all. He is still in control. And His invitation remains to “Enter His rest”, “to fear not”, “to be still”, “to trust”. And it seems we have been given an opportune season to draw close and re-assess; and to make sure that God alone is our great confidence.

Deep Calls Unto Deep

June Taylor

Charles Wesley wrote, “Amazing love! How can it be that thou my God wouldst die for me?”

We continue to be amazed as we ponder the depths Jesus, the Son of Man went, to redeem mankind and deliver us from evil. His suffering went beyond the stripes and the cross, down into the belly of the earth.

“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:40

Waiting on the Lord

by William F Taylor

“And therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him” Isaiah 30:18.

“Waiting upon the Lord” is a key to a victorious, overcoming life.  Throughout the Psalms, whenever David found himself in difficult circumstances, he constantly reminded himself to wait upon the Lord.

Praise in Everyday Life

by William F Taylor

Doing God’s will in our everyday lives is a key to making our lives a symphony of praise to Him.  God’s will for our everyday lives is expressed very clearly in Ephesians chapters four through six.  Here God’s plan for our lives is revealed in three critical everyday-life areas; (1) my individual, personal life; Ephesians 4:1 – 5:21 (2) my life with my family; Ephesians 5:22 – 6:4 and (3) my life at work, Ephesians 6:5 – 9.
