Special Guest Ministry: Dr Richard & Joan Forde
Richard and Joan Forde were members of the faculty of Pinecrest Bible Training Center for over twenty-four years. They are both graduates of the Bible School and served on the Board of Directors until May, 2008. Dr. Forde was president of Pinecrest for five years.
Joan is a worshipper and Bible teacher. Whether teaching in the classroom, or leading worship, her greatest burden is for God, the Holy Spirit, to personally impact lives and have His way.
Dr. Forde is president of Word to the World Mission, an organization helping to fulfill the Apostle Paul’s instructions to Timothy: “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2Timothy 2:2). Over the past thirty years, the Fordes have travelled to many nations, teaching and ministering the word of God.
Our vision:
Worship is a primary purpose each time we come together. In addition, Bible teachings that bring understanding of the present-day workings of the Holy Spirit within the lives of those the Lord is calling up into a higher realm of relationship and communion with Him, bring focus and direction to our lives. Personal ministry allows those who would like prayer to further receive, as they linger in the Lord’s presence.
“Parousia” is a New Testament Greek word that relates to the Second Coming of Christ; this word also relates to the “Presencing” of the Lord, in which He is beginning to reveal Himself in a greater and more personal way to those who have come apart to seek Him.
The Lord is using an overcoming people to establish “places” marked by His presence in many localities today. I talk about this more under Nancy’s Corner, in the article titled “Desiring the Lord’s Presence Above all Else.”
For those of you who knew my dad, Wade Taylor, the founder of this ministry, you understand this is also a continuation of what he was doing, prior to his going home to be with the Lord.
The call I have received from the Lord relates to the preparation of a people for the end time purposes of the Lord. When we come together, as we understand that God not only wants to minister to us, but use us, I believe the Lord’s purposes will continue to be fulfilled through these gatherings. Together, we can make an impact as we worship, exalting the Lord Jesus Christ and His headship, as we believe together for His “presencing” in greater ways.
