Faith Pleases God

Nancy Taylor Tate

There is the clear sound of a trumpet blowing calling us as a nation, and individually to repentance today.   Many are setting aside extra time to come before the Lord in prayer and in an expression of heart felt desire for the Lord’s blessing, guidance and direction in their lives.

True repentance is a working of the Holy Spirit.  It is the gift of God, the goodness of God to those who would hear and respond to His call.

Years ago I spent a few hours with an elderly woman who in a moment of prayer, took me with her into the presence of God she was accustomed to dwelling in.  In that moment I experienced the fire of God, a deep inner repentance I never could have “decided” to make, but experienced in that dimension of His presence.  This is the place the Lord is calling us up into today, as we are willing to set aside quality time to be with Him.

The Lord will not leave Himself without a witness.  He has always had a witness in the earth.  He will have a witness today, and in the days to come.

As we come before the Lord in prayer (and fasting) may we find ourselves fully equipped and prepared to be that testimony and witness the Lord has called us to be.  My basic burden has to do with the preparation of a people for the end time purpose of the Lord.  We will see the Lord’s purposes come forth.  May we be that witness He desires during this time frame.

The scripture I would like to leave with you today is Hebrews 11:6.  “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

This is a scripture I have prayed into through the years.  If you would like to pray with me:

Lord, we believe that “You are.”  That You are present, and active today; that You reward those that seek You.  Let this truth settle deep in our hearts I pray, as we hold Your word in our heart, and set ourselves to seek after You with our whole heart…
